Exclusive Contract
REMS holds the exclusive contract with the REALTORS® Association of Metropolitan Pittsburgh (RAMP) for all pre-litigation real estate disputes. When buyers, sellers, agents, or attorneys contact RAMP for mandatory real estate mediation, RAMP refers that case to REMS. That means REMS is not simply one mediator among many you might find online. REMS is the authorized provider, vetted and selected by the largest realtor’s association in Western Pennsylvania to handle these disputes.
Capped Fees
That same exclusive contract with RAMP is what makes REMS so affordable. RAMP is a non-profit organization, and under the collaboration, pre-litigation mediation fees are capped based on the value of the claim. Parties only pay a one-time fee between $200 to $500. Experienced mediators on the open market charge by the hour or large flat fees meaning you save money and still receive quality services with REMS. And if for whatever reason the mediation does not take place any fee you have paid will be fully refunded. This means there is no risk in filling out our form and starting the process.
No Time Limits, No Rushing
REMS does not put time limits on pre-litigation mediations. Whether your case takes one hour, 8 hours or is continued to another day, you pay the same flat fee. Every case gets the time and attention it needs for the process to unfold the way that is intended. Each case is unique and we treat each case with the care and attention that is needed.
